Looks: Standing at 5”7, Ruii is in possession of a lean muscled body. Graceful by nature, she has a tendency when not on duty to float around the ground when walking, her appearance like a ballerina. She is mostly seen in traditional ninja wear of a jounin; a beige vest, black pants that tighten near mid calf and disappear beneath tight bandages and a long sleeve black shirt. Arm guards with hidden blades rest on her fore-arms. Known to be usually seen with her hiate-ate around her neck it is partially seen from behind the high collar of the vest.

Personality:
Known for her willingness, Ruii is one to never turn down a challenge. Young and talented, she likes to take advantage of her strengths and utilize them to the best of her ability. Not one to be tame, she is fiery and energetic; constantly moving or doing something. Not one to just sit around, the kunoichi gets bored easily and needs to complete things in the first sitting, or she finds herself uninterested.

Very driven, she knows what she wants and will do nearly anything to achieve it. Beautiful on the inside, she cares deeply for people, always placing herself in the other person’s shoes. This was something she had to work at as a child, having been quite a brat when she was young, always picking on her little brother and flicking him on the nose whenever he annoyed her.

Known to have a sharp tongue and even keener mind, she is an excellent person to have a verbal war with and her determination added to the mix is devastating. Very sarcastic, she often makes fun of people without knowing it and gets herself into quite a bit of trouble.

An optimist, she thinks brightly, her vision almost never clouded by anger or hate. She has an open mind and takes in a lot of perspectives before making a decision. Although at times she thinks too much, Ruii can make quick, accurate decisions on the spot, making her a great analyst and fighter. She observes her opponents with a keen eye, making quick battle plans in her head.

When she spots a weakness, she jumps on it quickly, tearing it apart until she can take control of you. Her genjutsus come in a wide variety, starting from simple mind games to full out scenes of torture that drag on in her enemies mind. As a shinobi, she is ruthless and never hesitant. She acts viciously and won’t stop until her target is dead.

Passionate and secure, many people draw close to her. She gives off an air of confidence and swag, that’s followed by her usual sarcastic comments and loud, chime like laugh. Known as the bright light at the end of the tunnel, she resembles hope in her wacky way that makes people smile. She has a gift to get along with nearly everyone.

Not one to sit in a chair all day, she’s often doing work hands on, only coming back to deal with her paperwork. Otherwise, she holds meetings outside in either the quiet park or a more reserved place. Often, when looking for her, many spot the kunoichi at the training field, working on her jutsus, alone.

The stress of routine and no change gets to her easily, making her usual outgoing personality feel bottled up and caged; screaming to be free. She often finds herself looking out the window when she’s stuck indoors.

She loves dawn and dusk, the bright colours meeting the blues and blacks of night fascinating. At times like these, she usually sits down, curled up under a blanket or in comfy clothes and watches in solitude. It’s her quiet time where she winds down or gets ready for the day ahead. The calm before the storm. The time to recall and relate. It’s perfect in her eyes.

Kekkei Gekkei: Byakugan
Description: The Hyuuga clan were one of the founding noble families of Leaf village. The clan itself is said to be the ancestors of the Uchiha clan who possess the bloodline of the Sharingan eye. Each clan member possess the "Byakugan" or "White Eye." When the "Byakugan" is activated, the clan member gains an extra-sensory perception, which gives them penetrating sight and telescopic vision. This allows them to see the internal chakra circulation system in other beings. This vision also grants the member a near 360° view of their surroundings. The higher the skill of the clan member, the further the distance from which they can sense incoming attacks. Unfortunately the vision does have a weakness, a small blindspot that extends outwards from their upper back.

Special Effect: The clan uses this ability in conjunction with their own chakra creating the Juuken (gentle fist) fighting style. By focusing the chakra to their finger tips, they can press the tenketsu or chakra pressure points of their opponents body. When the finger nears the tenketsu the chakra is forced out, collasping the targetted tenketsu for a period of time. The tenketsu serve as the connectors and exit points for the chakra pathways. So when they are stopped by the Hyuuga clan member, the ninja greatly loses his or her ability to utilize their chakra for jutsu.

Name: Hakkeshou Kaiten - Eight Divination Palms of the Hand, Heavenly Spin

Description: Hakkeshou Kaiten is a Taijutsu technique unique to the Hyuuga bloodline using the Jyuuken. Kaiten is a special technique passed down through the main family line. Kaiten takes advantage of several of the unique abilities of the Byakugan eye. Byakugan gives the clan member an almost complete 360 degree view of their surroundings. This allows the member to see all angles of attack.

If an attack is near, the clan member will release a large of amount of chakra from their tenketsu. The member then begins to spin like a top, creating a whirling vortex that can nullify almost any attack.


Name: Shugo Hakke Rokujuuyonshou - Guardian Eight Divination Signs, Sixty-Four Palms of the Hand

Description: Shugo Hakke Rokujuuyonshou is a Taijutsu technique developed by Hyuuga Hinata. During the period after the Chuunin Exam, Hinata pushed herself harder than ever before. During this time she improved her chakra control and developed her own style within the Hyuuga bloodline abilities. She practiced the technique around water to hone it to perfection. Utilizing the Hakke Rokujuuyonshou style, Hinata uses her natural flexibility and her precise chakra control to create an absolute defense.

Hinata will emit chakra from her palms and move her arms in sweeping pattern movements to provide a full 360 degree range of protection for her body. This chakra will be also be able to cut through most any target which dares penetrate the protective sphere. By expelling a sharper, stronger and more flexible amount of chakra, she can increase it's effectiveness against more massive incoming objects.

History and RP Sample

History:

Pre-Academy

Rui was born into the Branch family, since her parents didn't want her to be used by the Main Branch. When she was born, she had 1 older brother. Her parents weren't ninja, so she wasn't expected to be one either at first, but according to the chakra analyziers, she had a developed chakra network that would work. Her parents didn't want her to become a ninja, for fear of use, but the Main Branch wouldn't allow a Member to go to waste, so she would end up being enrolled in the academy at a later date. Her older brother, was obviously envious of her, he had to live knowing that she would always be more powerful then he no matter what. He often roughed her up or picked on her, but that only gave her a true desire to become a ninja, and hardened her personality a bit. In Konoha she was born into, like all hyuuga's, and would be sent into the academy, her Byakugan not yet able to be activated.

Academy

In the academy, she began to make friends, she was good at this and had a generally good vibe about her almost all the time. She was good, astoundingly good at all of her classes, she had a sharp mind and good accuracy with weapons. Ninjutsu was easy for her, but the other types of techniques she couldn't grasp. She had trouble making Clone's at first, but she eventually caught hold of it since she was a hard worker and dedicated. She was also determined, determined to become strong for a reason she could not even describe. She enjoyed learning and gaining knowledge, reading people, and developing herself. She generally got the hang of things pretty quickly, and used her abilities to her advantages and learned to point out her weaknesses. Her byakugan was still not yet activated, but soon in her genin stage, it would be seen for the first time. She graduated from the Academy on her first year through, easily passing every class with good results.

Genin

Genin was an interesting 2 years for the young and up and coming child. Her parents having brought her to Suna from Konoha because they were afraid the Main Branch would use her, had to make a hard transition into life. There was a lot of poverty in the Wind Country, and many times it was hard for her parents to find jobs. Although they were shinobi, Sunagakure didn’t trust them, giving the two jounin leveled ninja easy missions ranking from C-B. Never being put on something higher, it was a hard income for the two.

Ruii’s team was made up of 2 genjutsu users and herself. Her two companions, Stragi and Felicity, both were strong in their elements and never treated the Hyuuga differently. They were a team and a strong one at that; playing off of each other’s strengths. They trained for a full year together, completing missions ranging from D-C with little trouble. They enjoyed the work and although many of their friends had ranked up, the three didn’t mind.

The next year when they did enter the exams, Team 5 completed the first exam easily, each member not having to cheat; having studied long and hard. However, they tricked other people into cheating and getting caught; eliminating some competition. It was easy for the shinobi. The next exam, provided to more difficult then they presumed. They suffered causalities, but nothing too severe. Arriving at the Tower on the final day, the Three were torn up and tired, but ready for the next event.

Visiting the medical nins stationed in the area before their matches, each member from team 5 moved on, winning their matches differently. Stragi, being the most aggressive of their team, used a genjutsu that made his opponent start attacking himself while Felicity used grace and tact, catching them in a peaceful genjutsu before stabbing them in the throat. Ruii, who was the ninjutsu and taijutsu user on the team used mostly techniques she worked on that required the use of her Byakugan, but she completed the task easily; one of the quicker matches.

The month wait until her final match was stressful for Ruui. She trained hard and nearly constantly only stopping to eat and sleep. Her parents, who were nearly always away on missions to pay for their lifestyle promised to be at her final match, but the day before; her mother was killed by a silly mistake made by her partner. Horrified, the genin couldn’t process it fully and went into a stage of denial. Her Father, Hiayashi soothed her heart however and told her that she needed to win her fight not just for herself but for her mother. No one wanted to see her in pain.

Taking his words to heart, the ivory haired girl slaughtered her opponent her rage cold and hard, hidden from view. Afterwards, she felt terrible, but somehow she had gained not only closure, but Chuunin Rank as well.

Chuunin

Ruii doesn’t have too many chuunin memories, having tried to pass this level as quickly as possible. She trained hard, like the story of her life; working on jutsus and incorporating her Byakugan into the mix. It was an interesting way to work, but she loved every minute of it.

During this time, the girl spent a lot of her days with her father. Their time together helped relieve the stiffness and the dryness in their throat from the death of a mother and a wife. They did family functions; eating dinner every night together, there was no exception, as well as training. Her father had many complex jutsus that he tried to teach her, but Ruii could never get the hang of them fully; always messing up on one stage or the other. It didn’t bug her. Even now, she’s still trying to learn them.

Jounin

At jounin, Ruui spent a lot of her time in the library, reading up on jutsus and her family’s history which she gained from her father. Having reached the rank she wanted, the jounin decided it was time to not only become strong physically wise, but mentally as well. Often, she would find a quiet spot all on her own and just read, taking notes occasionally. The scrolls that interested her the most were spiritual and mind ones, which covered the mind and how it works. Some questions were still unanswered, but the thought of knowing in battle how to detect an opponent’s weakness by movements and eyes fascinated her.

She went to Hospitals and Medical nin, asking them to explain parts she didn’t understand for a small fee. It was interesting work, learning about the spindles and wheels, nerves and brainwaves that a good mind needed. Another topic she was intrigued by was gaining strength in positioning. This was the ability to hold your body in a certain form and be able to draw more power for a hit. The trouble with this was that it needed a lot of flexibility and self awareness.

To gain this, Ruui left the village on temporary leave for six months, living on her own in a secluded area. Here, she learned to watch and observe herself and how her body moved to be able to move just one muscle without flexing another. It was hard work mentally and physically. When the time came for the jounin to return to Suna, she found that she not only gained a new ability, but found a part of herself. It was peace and tranquility that she didn’t think she had because Ruui was always so bouncy and up and at ‘em, never resting or stopping.

Thinking herself ready for the challenge of ANBU, she announced herself ready to the Kazekage, who at first seemed to question her ability. He seemed hesitant, but near the end the thought of having a byakugan user on a team proved too good to pass up and she was able to try out for the position.

ANBU

Having past the test, her second time around, Ruii decided to move out of her house she shared with her father, knowing that although they wouldn’t spend as much time together, that this was best for her and her career as a member of ANBU. Having bought a house to suit her lifestyle, the woman barely spent her time there, always so busy on missions and training with her squadron, who were well worked by their Captain, Boar. He was strong and tactful, using his strength in perfect unison with his team. They were a 5 man squad, each specializing in something different to cover the others weaknesses.

It was an interesting job, working with them. Often; they all spent their days together off duty, pushed by their captain at first, but soon they all liked it; knowing the connection between them all would come in handy in battle. They completed a total of 23 S ranked missions together, 2 years of their life before finally, Boar announced his retirement. He was reaching the age of 45 and found that he was no longer that affective in battle. Knowing his squad, he announced to break them away from each other, each to lead their own squadron.

The Kazekage, believing in the man quite deeply, agreed giving each man a total of four people. It was hard at first to work with so many green shinobi; all new to the process of ANBU, but somehow Ruii managed it, knowing their team would be better off. Just like her Captain, the Hyuuga forced her team to spend plenty of time together so they could grow and learn together and eventually they came to like it. Sigi, her closest companion on her team was smart and did most of the covering for the team. She gave him second in command status. Now, currently, this is her team but Ruii feels like soon; she might get transferred.

She leaned back, transferring her weight to the backs of her heels. It had been awhile now since she had gathered her team together to meet at the Kazekage’s office. He had privately asked her to assemble a squad for a mission and she had done so without comment, excited to be out and about once again.

For three weeks she had been given easy missions that a chuunin would have no issues with and the female was tired of killing her opponents in one shot. She wanted a challenge; she craved it; like a dog would a bone. How she missed the feel of rushing wind pulling through her hair and the stiff ANBU mask she had gotten so used to. It was like an extension of her face and without it, she felt lost.

Yes, she was anxious to get into his office. It showed on her face, pulling her arched brows together and pursing her lips as her position continuously changed. The kunoichi noticed her friends and companions eying her with annoyance, her pacing distracting them all from the tasks ahead. She noted from the corner of her eye that a few were already picking out what they needed and going through a mental checklist for proper items and she told herself to do the same, but she couldn’t concentrate.

Hearing Sigi sigh, Ruii decided to ignore him; knowing that sooner or later the four of them would come and tie her to a chair. Inwardly, she really wanted that, knowing it would most likely calm her fast beating heart and make her realize that this wasn’t enjoyment; this was work. Even if ANBU tasks seemed like a pastime rather than the easy B ranked missions did.

Closing her eyes, she bit her lip, tugging on it with her straight white teeth. She had silenced her pacing and instead decided leaning against something was better than annoying her partners. Besides, who knew? Maybe one would be cruel and allow something to hit her like a kunai or senbon like last time.

She smiled at the memory, her pale eyes lighting up for a moment. Most of the time, although her squadron was serious, they always seemed to have fun on a mission, completing it successfully with little to no incidents. They seemed to be the jokers in the many ANBU members that guarded and protected Sunagakure, and sometimes the kunoichi wondered if they were put on a team by fate or because everyone else would get annoyed with their goofy antics off duty.

They were a family in a way; spending a lot of their off duty time together, bonding. As a team, they thought cooperation and chemistry was important, so many a times they would simply stay out together for a night on the town, going to pubs or sake houses for a drink or two. It was good times and good company.

Feeling a few of her team members staring at her, she opened an eye and watched them for a moment, a small, sly smile pulling at her elegant lips. It was feline and resembled her namesake. Pushing away from the wall, she elegantly stood and started walking toward the secretary, the heels clinging to her small feet clicking lightly on the floor. It wasn’t often that she’d dress girly, but tonight, after the meeting they had all planned to go to the pub and talk business, having had a table in the back on its own reserved.

Winking at Sigi, her closest friend on the team and flirting buddy, she turned her attention back to the desk in front of her. Leaning downward, she rested her elbows on the desk, head cradled in a soft hand, “Excuse me?” She started, her tone polite but an icy command note hidden deep within. “I was wondering how long the meeting’s going to be?”

The secretary, who she didn’t know by name seemed astonished that she would be asked such a question, stood up abruptly and hit the desk, fumbling to grab the falling papers. Ruii, who would have usually laughed at the clumsiness, decided to instead help the poor jumpy women gather the papers. Picking up the last one, she neatly stacked them in a pile, setting them down in the exact place they had been flung away from and smiled kindly. The older woman thanked her with a quiet voice and she brushed it away, saying it was nothing.

Before the woman could respond and tell her when the meeting was to be over, she heard the sound of muffled steps and the loud booming voice of the Kazekage. He seemed to be in distress about something and Ruii, just happy to finally be able to talk to him and get their assignment, pushed away from the desk. Her companions stood quickly, following her into the office where they shut the door with a slam. The kunoichi with a smile leaned against the door as a knock or more of a slam was heard.

Grinning, her team laughed as they turned toward the Kazekage.

“So… You wanted to see us?”

Description: Completing a set of seals the user bites their ring finger, slamming the palm of the hand against the ground. Summoning the creature, it emerges from a strong mist which coats the area for a moment. This animal has no true shape, but instead it shape shifts into the environment, creating whatever attribute is needed. It appears to look like sludge when it is merely sitting around. It can only use one attribute at a time. For example, it can become water so that the shinobi it is working for can use it for jutsus without using chakra to summon the liquid. It can become nearly anything created by mother nature.

Flaws: This uses a lot of chakra to summon, causing the user to become unable to breath and move for a few minutes. In this time, the user needs to be guarded by comrades. Only people who have partially signed on with the creature can change and use it; however, the holder of the summon (Ruii) can change it for other people, but this means she needs to concentrate on controlling the summon.

Summon History and Ruii's Possession

The creature has no pacific name. It was born and created by a man who wanted power; wanted to be able to control everything in his path. He was successful in his experiments, creating something that couldn't be from this world. It was strong, powerful, and in his eyes perfect. It was God, making him even more powerful then it.

However, the creature had its own thinking; which was a mistake the scientist made. Each battle it was taken in and won easily, it noticed how its master took all the credit, pushing him aside like a minion. The creature was angered by such deceit and unrighteousness that during a battle it didn't listen and ended up helping the shinobi kill the scientist.

She was a female member of an ANBU squad and after decapitating the man she noticed the sludge like substance. Knowing what it could do, she offered it a home and her promise. Seeing what power she possessed and the attitude she gave off, the sludge stayed with her, disappearing back into the scroll its master had placed it in. Taking that with her, she left the scene with her two prizes.

Later on, back in Sunagakure, she practiced hard to understand the creature that had no form or name; trying to understand its power. Even now, she has trouble at times to stay connected to the being.
