Question! -[P]-

On one of his "journey's" yun had made his way into Mountain country, to one of the many small villages he stayed at often, today he was hoping to catch up with an old inn keeper he had been friends with ever since he left suna. He was a mile or two from the village, and strangely there was no traffic moving in or out of the village. It was odd but every village has a slow day. Generally there wasn't much traffic anyway. He was on a dirt path, a short field on each side of the path, with a forest around it. The day seemed fine so far, he was in a pretty good mood and nothing really horrid had happened so far. He was smiling he already knew the village looks in his head, a circular palisade defense with small wooden gates always opened with a forest surrounding the village, some limbs even stretched out over the short walls. Small hut like houses compounded together as best as they could. Not many farms it was a small place. It was a fine day, he smiled, hoping something enjoyable might pop up soon.

Scrounging through the bushes, Takeshi crouched down, a large bag upon his back filled with shimmering green leaves. A special herb native to the area of mountain country. He had already recieved a permit to take exactly ten pounds of the plant. Picking one final herb he stands and tightens the top of his bag. A small hop put him back on the trail and he started up towards the small village.

As he approached tha gates, he noticed a figure standing just outside. A grin quickly covers his face as he charges forward at an impressive pace. Covering over fifty meters in under five seconds as he calls out. "FOUND YOU!!".

Yun jumped a bit and spun around, "You!" He shouted stepping backwards, as the man shouted simultaneously. He smiled a bit, "Hey you heading into town?" yun asked in a more detached voice, not really caring if he was on his way out of town or in. It was nice to see a familiar face for once, he hadn't seen Takeshi's face in a while anyway, it would be nice to catch up maybe.

Takeshi did not halt his charge, instead he dropped his herb sack and increased his speed, stopping right infront of Yun, quickly crouching and leaping in a bicycle kick. A little lost in the moment of excitement at seeing some prey that had escaped his grasp once he attacked almost instincively. Coming to his senses mid flip. If the blow connected or not, he would immediately pull back the moment he landed. Best to talk before a fight.

Yun's Brows rose in shock as the man shot up in a bicycle kick. A Diamond card shout out from under his clothing and grew in a second or less absorbing most of the blow as it connected to Yun's chin. His head tilted up a bit but no severe damage. "Woah Woah, I'm not here for a fight, if your heading into town I'll accompany you, but no more kicking alright?" Yun said with a grin, tilting his head towards the village.

"Tch, fine". Takeshi replies quickly as he picks up his bag. He may be a hothead, but he could think clearly at times. And now was not the best time to get into a large fight, it would not only nullify his permit but may also have political reprocussions if it took place this close to the main village of mountain country. Unlike the last time they met at a small outpost village, there was too much of a risk here. Walking briskly, he passes Yun and without a word enters the village.

Yun followed Takeshi into the village but stopped as they entered, it was silent, not a soul in sight. "Quiet day." Yun said, looking around, carts were set neatly where they were supposed to and nothing really looked out of place, just quiet. Birds chirped and crows squawked, it was oddly quiet. Not even a mother shouting for a child. "There's an Inn i stay at, sure to be people there." Yun said smiling heading towards the inn. Crossing town slowly he and takeshi's feet crunching on the dirt beneath them, still no one. Yun slid a card into his hand, just in case. The door of the Inn was open, swinging and creaking in the wind. Yun pushed it open slowly, and gapped at the sight in front of him.

Bodies lay strewn around, 7 or 8 in total, blood was everywhere. There was a scuttling on the ground nearby. Yun drew a kunai, the dead were mutilated badly and some of them had white rags covering their heads. The ones with white rags all had knives in their heads. Yun made his way towards the counter, his feet squeaking on the floor from the wet blood, some still dripping. There his good Inn keeper was dead, his hand grasping a knife which stabbed him in the back of the head through a white rag, pressing through the front of his skull in his hand held a bloodstained note. Even the walls had blood on them, it was a macabre scene. Yun grabbed the note.

I'm sorry for what i Have Done my lord, with this knife i forgive myself for all sin i have committed against the great overseer. Please Send my willing soul to the glory of the gods, I wish for peace and everlasting Life. With this Knife, I shall Recieve It.

Yun grimaced and turned to the side to let his stomach relieve itself as he threw up on the wall. Wiping his mouth he looked back at takeshi, "Come on lets check out upstairs."

Takeshi slowly observed the room around them as Yun "relieved" himself. The deaths of many of the villagers seemed to be the works of some kind of cult mass suicide. However, the majority of the ones he could see bore clear signs of resistance. Bruises on the arms of a woman in the corner seemed to prove that point. As Yun stood up, Takeshi was already heading for the door, whatever had happened here, the place was not safe and the best thing to do would be to notify one of the larger countries immeidately to investigate the matter. That process however would undoubtably take several days to even reach a village and by then, whatever had caused this would, if it were still around, be long gone. He crouches down and lifts the hand of a man who lie dead by the entrance. Flexing the fingers he felt little resistance. Rigimortis was just setting in so whatever happened here had only occurred a few hours before he himself had arrived for his herbs. Casting his hooded gaze at Yun, he speaks briefly. "Search the village. There is a chance the ones behind this are still here".

Yun nodded at takeshi's statement, "yea sounds like a pla-" he said cut off by a thumping followed by a strange squawk of something that didn't sound like a bird upstairs. There was a walking noise heard as whatever it was made its way across the floor, heading towards the stairs. Yun flipped out another kunai for his other hand. His heart raced, this could be what had killed some of the people here. Or something worse.

Yun stood with an anxious look on his face. Suddenly a bloody foot stepped out onto the floor, as a human like mass of what looked like a fleshly human, parts of it opened with blood dripping out, Its head was mutilated and strange. It had two large arms coming out of its back with sharp bone like structure on the end of them, its normal arms were still there with bone like claws instead of fingers, it stood hunched and most of its face was destroyed. Part of a chair was embedded into its side.

It let out the same squawk sound and its mouth opened revealing an opening in the back of its head. It charged at Yun as his eyes went wide and he jumped back, throwing the kunai at it. The kunai struck its shoulder it stumbled backwards then continued on its charge, slashing through a chair that was in its way. Yun's hands extended forward, he let out a scared shout as dozens of clubs cards flew through the air and impaled into its body shooting some of its limbs off as it fell backwards against the ground in a thump. It rumbled for a moment then went silent.

Yun's eyes were still wide with fright, his mouth clenched tight his eyes weary from nothing. He was jumpy now, what the hell was that, ran through his head.

Takeshi did not move, but merely glared at the corpse of...whatever the hell that was. Yun was still shaking while Takeshi's senses went into overdrive. Even he felt the cold shiver of fear shooting through his spine and the adrenaline in his veins. His fists were clenched into such tight fists that his fingernails had peirced his hand. His blood felt hot on the tips of his fingers as he manages to find his voice. "Hey, you better have a way of contacting a village, any village will do at the moment but we need several ANBU teams here immediately!" He commands as he closes and locks the door behind him. It would not do much if another creature like that showed up, but at least it would give them forewarning. He then proceeded to quickly shut and seal the windows before cautiously approaching the beast that lay upon the floor.

He could feel no signs of life eminating from the corpse. Once he was sure it was dead he looked back to Yun. "We can't leave here. If we do, whatever caused this will be free to do it again. We need to hold them here until we can get help from one of the larger nations".

"Hold them Here!? are you insane!? Did you see that thing!??? We need to leave and right away, we'll lock it up and send for some anbu members, right now lets just get out of this place!" Yun shouted in a worried tone as Takeshi locked the door and began to shut windows. Yun looked around for any other openings, seeing none he sighed, suddenly there was another one of the strange squawks, it came from outside. The clubs cards embedded in the dead one shot up Yuns sleeve preparing to be used again. The door that Takeshi had just locked suddenly had a massive claw sticking through it and it was striking again. "Upstairs Quick!" Yun shouted as another claw smashed into a window, there was obviously quite a few out there.

Running up the stairs quickly yun heard them inside the place already. He entered a small bedroom with takeshi, it was on the top floor of the Inn, "Barricade the door!" Yun said sliding a dresser in front of the door, then tilting the bed up and leaning it against the door. Feeling rather safe he sighed and lent up against the wall. Hands shaking involuntarily eyes wide still with fright, they were outside the door he could hear them, his heart raced.

As soon as the two entered the small room, Takeshi immediately moved towards the single window. Looking outside, there was a small force of the creatures. Just over a dozen from what he could count and they were quickly flooding into the bar. Turning to a still shaking Yun, a sick grin covering his face, he almost laughs as he speads. "Better step back. Monsters don't use doors you know". The moment he finished that sentence, the tips of one creature's claw penetrate the wall near Yun. They did not puncture as deep as they did with the door downstairs so it was likely the wall could hold longer.

Reaching behind himself, Takeshi grabs several tags and begins placing them along the walls and a couple on the ceiling. "You got some of these too right?" He asks as he sticks the last few around the perimeter of the floor. "Use those fancy card tricks of yours and place some on the lower floor, if you can the support beams. We'll bury these bastards". He then slides open the window as the creatures outside strike the door hard, stabbing right through the dresser. "Place the tags and get to the roof as fast as you can". He then grabs the top of the window and pulls himself through, flipping upwards and disappearing from sight.

Atop the roof, he began observing the village. Other than the creatures attacking them, little movement could be visible. He began searching the village for any possible exits. The gates would have to be closed immediately, sealing the main route of escape. He took out his final tag and placed it atop the exact center of the roof.

Yun jumped as a claw penetrated behind him, he jumped to the roof behind Takeshi, looking out over the village to where the gates were now....closed? Yun rose a brow, they were open when they entered, this was becoming a problem fast. The creatures began to climb the sides of the wall, using their claw like fingers to grab hold and rip and tear upwards. Yun observed the terrain. "You wanted to stay, it looks like were staying!" Yun said pointing to the closed and locked gates. He observed more of the town, spotting a single stone building, maybe a temple possibly just a large building of stone. "I doubt they will break through stone! Lets head that way!" Yun said pointing to the building.

He kicked the first one's head backwards sending it hurtling back towards the earth as it made it to the roof. "lets go gO GO!" Yun shouted throwing a kunai with explosive tag down into the small horde. Launching himself off the roof and onto the hard dirt ground he began at full sprint towards the stone building, knowing takeshi was behind soon to be in front of him. he looked over his shoulder and an explosion let out, the Inn they were at a moment ago buried in Ruin. The creatures didn't seem to see them yet but Yun kept on running.

Leaping off the roof in pursuit of Yun, a quick handsign and the inn was engulfed in flame. The screetches of the monsters inside was bloodchilling as they were crushed under the searing wood. Crossing the rooftops to near the stone temple, Takeshi could feel the fear returning to him. Something was likely waiting there, probably what caused all this. He continuously looked behind them to make sure they were not being followed. However their presence in the village would no doubt be known by the enemy. Takeshi did not mind this however, stealth was never his forte. Best to simply run and gun it through this, that was his way of handling things.

Yun Opened pushed open the large steel door and rushed inside closing it and bolting it shut, creatures banging on the outside of the door already. Yun let out a sigh, "Were safe in here." Yun said letting out a sigh, angry screeching heard from outside. Their numerous attempts to get in failing, the windows were all barred, it was a pretty secure place. It was oddly bland in this building, no bloody corpses as he had expected. He looked around and something was heard downstairs, sounding like a screech of the creatures.

"If theres only a couple we can take em. I doubt any more are in here and no more are getting in, lets check it out." Yun said getting ready for a fight as he looked down the long stone staircase, it was bright downstairs. Yun began down, his feet clanking on the stone floor. Takeshi behind him he felt like his flanks were secure. The walls were thick stone and no creature could get through there.

Yun made his way into the bright downstairs room, alit with lights, someone or thing was still alive. He walked over to a large crate. Where a single creature was battering at the sides, unable to get out of though. There were 4 or 5 other ones in there but they were sedated. "What the...." Yun said as the stairwell door closed and a large gate lowered to block their exit.

Yun looked inside the one creature that was awake attempting to break out and claw at him. Yun stepped backwards. A chuckling was heard behind him as a man stepped into view.

Chuckling a bit, “Your Persistence is admirable but ultimately futile. It almost makes me think that we had a chance …” he began. “But this is the end of us, of all of us, Our Wars, our arrogance, our ignorance, this beginning of a new day, of a new enlightenment, of ascension. Behold the Child of mankind, the Children that will replace us!” he paused for a moment, touching the side of the creatures face, and it calmed down “You see the beauty of these creatures, they will carry on our legacy, they are the future.” He walks over to the door and gestures down the hall, “These creatures will be sent to Ninja villages, where they will spread their divine glory across the entire Planet!” He paused again, “But you will not live to see that, embrace for death, embrace your death! Do not fight it; embrace your death, Your ascension! You will not make it out of this village alive, so you might as well give it up here.” And then he leaves no noise heard from behind the gates. He moved from next to the creature to the other side of the gates, which were opening now.

Yun rose a brow, drawing a kunai and looking over at takeshi.

"And now we find the root of our troubles" Takeshi says in a disappointed tone. Walking past Yun, he kicks the bars of the failing creatures cage hard, "Shut up!". The creature backed for a second before once again returning to its flailing state. "Anyway, I bet we can solve this by kicking his ass. So let's move".

Yun nodded, The bastard used these things to kill a friend of mine. Time to get what he deserves. Yun thought to himself, charging upstairs, no one in sight yet, the creatures had ceased their attempts to get in through the front door which now swung open. "He's gonna get away!" Yun shouted charging out into the streets, he looked everywhere for any sign of the man, nothing the gates. he thought heading full speed for the gates.

A single screech was let out from a rooftop that he ran by, and about 20 more were let out simultaneously inside the village, all of them angry and ready to fight. Yun just kept his pace full speed towards the gate, a creature flung out from the side of a wall its large claws swung but yun ducked executing an elbow into the side of its face sending it sideways, as it regained its balance yun was already to the gates, open, the man had gotten away. "DAMNIT!" Yun shouted fiercly, unsure of what to do now. There would be no way they could take on....

Yun gasped as he turned around, a full 50 or more of the creatures surrounded them in a crescent circle. More arriving, slowly, "You know how you said you wanted to stay...?" Yun began slowly walking backwards, the creatures were quiet some had no legs and just a tail, others had wings, some only one long arm, some no arms at all. "Well, Were not staying. Lets get the Hell out of here!" Yun shouted as the creatures charged.

"So, running away are we?" Takeshi says with a laugh, crouching into a battle position. "Well, start running towards the gate, I'll clear a path". The moment he finished his sentence, time for Takeshi seemed to slow to less than a crawl. The movement of his enemies coming to the point where they no longer seemed to even be alive. He then leaped from his position into the ground, for everyone other than himself it would seem like he simply vanished. He charged headlong into the monster crowd and began striking every enemy within a ten meter radius hard, throwing a constant stream of powerful punches and kicks before emerging on the other side. Upon landing, time seemed to resume its normal speed and the monsters he hit all flew into the air, clearing a large path for Yun.

Turning his head to face Yun, he seemed to taunt Yun as he spoke "Well, hurry up then, unless you really want to stay".

Yun followed behind Takeshi's stream of killing, some of them got back up and began to screech, more screeches heard from all around them. And Yun and takeshi made for the door Yun stopped and spun on his heel. Using the full force of wind he could conjure he shoved the gates closed. One of the creatures arms got stuck and fell to the ground bloodily. Yun sighed in relief as he and takeshi stood for a moment to catch their breath. Yun glanced over at the gates, the creatures unable to get out or climb the fortified wooden walls. Yun smiled, it seemed for once they were actually safe. He plopped himself down on the ground, looking at takeshi. "What the hell just happened?" he asked takeshi everything seemed to have gone so fast, from the Inn to the temple to the preacher to the gate. It was a blur. Yun scratched his head, trying to remember everything.

"We don't have time to be thinking this over" Takeshi says as he takes off running. Fosusing chakra into the soles of his feet, he charges up the large gates and lands atop. Looking down, he saw the creatures clawing at the gates. Hopelessly clawing for a chance at freedom. Turning back he calls down to Yun. "We have several options here. First, we pursue that freak and try to put an end to this asap. Second, we get help to deal with this problem back here". Motioning with his hand to indicate the creatures. "However, I am uncomfortable leaving these things unattended. There is a chance they will either find an alternate exit or somehow break down the gates". Crouching down, he knocks on the wood that protects the entrance to the village. "This is simply wood, thick wood, but still wood. From here I can see they are already trying to cut their way through. And if they get loose, we may never find them all. And I don't want to face these things in the dark areas of the forest".

Standing up again, he shouts back to Yun. "You make the call".

Yun shook his head, "Its too late Takeshi...that guy brought some of them with him, didn't you hear him? "These creatures will be sent to Ninja villages, where they will spread their divine glory across the entire Planet" and i quote. Which means we have several options, one we find out where these bastards are coming from, two we kill the guy releasing them hoping that will stop the spread, three kill these ones in hopes that he doesn't have any more, or 4 get our asses out of here, let someone else discover our problem and let them fix it." Yun stated, "And by the way, were going for option 2." Yun said stuffing the kunai he had in his hand back into its pouch.

"This guy, he's dangerous and he's probably got plenty of those things on him. I saw something on him though..it was a necklace it had a strange symbol on it, i think that has something to do with it. We have his face, and the necklace. Its a start i guess." Yun said letting out a sigh, "For now, were heading to my crib," Yun said dropping a spade card onto the ground, "Your first." he said dropping another spade card, "not this one, this is so we can come back." Yun said, gesturing to the other spade card.

Looking down at the crowd one last time, he sighs as he jumps off the gate and walks towards Yun. "Well, I did say it was your call, but we still need to dispatch an ANBU squad here. If they can get some samples, they may be able to craft some counter measure before that freak can do anything". He then looked down at the two cards placed on the ground. "Well, you'll have to tell me what to do, I have never been good in anything but Blackjack".

Yun shook his head, "ANBU will take weeks to get prepared to do something like this and when they finally do they will probably either be out of the village and find a bunch of dead humans, or they will all be killed by more of these things, what needs to be done needs to be done by us." he chuckled as Takeshi asked what to do. "Just step onto that one, and you'll be at my place in a few moments, its in snow country, so don't freak at the snow and ice. I'll see you there." Yun said gesturing to the card that Takeshi needed to step onto.

"Well I already know you have many interesting 'contacts'". He says as he steps forward. "Even if it isn't a whole squad, a few trusted individuals who can get here within three days should more than suffice". He then steps onto the card and vanishes.

Yun nodded with a smile, stepping onto the card and vanishing behind takeshi, the card vanishing as well.
